Research, Community, and Custom Projects
Our work follows the wood from forest to finished product, from forest management planning all the way to using that wood in your own home. We help landowners restore overstocked stands and reduce wildfire risk, then connect their logs to local mills and higher-value markets.
We founded the Jefferson County Sustainable Forestry Program, sold wood to the Portland International Airport (PDX) mass timber project, developed local sourcing standards and forestry practices for the CRTC and Makah Tribe Western hemlock CLT panels, helped the Jefferson Timber Cooperative earn FSC certification, and now offer an FSC group certificate that small landowners can join easily through our own forest management plan starting in 2027.
We partner with local nonprofits, municipalities and tribes on custom projects, including chain of custody, forest management planning, research and custom timber harvests. We also facilitate community events and conversations that bring landowners, loggers, mills and neighbors together around solutions that work for everyone.
