What is a Forest Health Consult?
Forests provide more than just wood products. They provide ecosystem services including regulating air quality, water quality, soil fertility, climate regulation, salmon habitat, and other wildlife habitat. Culturally they provide refuge, recreation, and aesthetics for us as well as basic resources such as paper and lumber. Finding a balance between human and ecological needs is key for the future of forests.
A consultation is the initial meeting to help landowners determine the health of their forest and serves as an introduction to managing their forests or can be a to help with ongoing management or address a specific issue.
